Islamabad: A youth died due to alleged torture at the Mind
Rehab Center in the federal capital.
According to sources, it has been revealed that a youth died
due to alleged torture at the Mind Rehab Center located in the Tarlai area of
Islamabad, after which the Shahzad Town Police Station registered a case on
the request of the heirs.
The case stated that signs of torture were found on the body
of the deceased youth. The plaintiff maintains that he had admitted his son to
the Mind Rehab Center for rehabilitation in June, but he was not allowed to
meet his child for a month.
The text stated that on July 9, the center administration
informed the family that their son had contracted dengue, but when they reached
the center, it was found that the youth had died.
Furthermore, after the incident, the staff of the Mind Rehab
Center closed the center and fled, while the center's owner, Dr. Hamza, is also
missing from the scene. The police have registered a case and started
investigating the incident.
