Desert Tracks Secured: High-Alert Safeguards Activated for Karachi’s Inaugural Marvi-Bound Press and Passenger Voyage

Karachi: The Thar desert Safari train cooperative endeavor started by the Pakistan Railways administration and the Government of Sindh, was dispatched today from Karachi to marvi railway facility. It consists  of five coaches. The Safari train departed from Karachi cantt railway facility at about 9:05 a.m. Pakistan peoples party leaders (PPP)Syed zulfiqar Ali shah approached at Karachi cantt at 8:20 a.m. in the morning where he was received by the dignitaries of zonal railway.  Consequently the Minister launched the maiden voyage.

The train is loaded with roughly  120- 130  travellers and media personalities. It arrived Hyderabad railway station at 12:55 p.m. Mirpur khas at 1:55 p.m. and Chhor railway station at 4:25 p.m. where transients will take a night stay.

A specialised detachment consisting of one Inspector railway police (IRP), one Sub inspector si, 3 Head constables (HC) and 7 police constables (PC) are accompanying  the transit of the train on its voyage from Karachi cantt to Marvi railway facility.

Moreover at khokhrapar and chhor railway stations there  have been SHO Mohammed Ali koso, along side one assistant Sub inspector ASI  and 6 police constables are grounded at the security. This lot is  ordered to protect  and supervise the duties for tomorrow August 14th 2026,as the train passes from Chhor to Marvi and on its homeward leg from Marvi to Mirpur khas.

Following the commands of deputy inspector general (DIG) south and coordinated by the Senior superintendent of railway police (SRP),Sindh  police officials have also been posted at several waypoints.

 Directive for triggering securities protocols have been announced to protect the Safari train, its transients, press crew and overnight  lodging  sites.
