Islamabad: The government has decided to take strict
measures following the exposure in Pakistan of foreigners running a global
cyber fraud and pornography network.
According to sources, the federal government has decided to
launch a large-scale operation against illegal call centers across the country.
The task force will operate under the direction of the Federal Intelligence
Agency (FIA) and will report daily to the Ministry of Home Affairs on
operations against these centers.
According to the sources, the task force will investigate
extortion, blackmail, illegal gambling, and scams. A list of established call
centers in Karachi has also been compiled, and all relevant institutions have
been ordered to fully cooperate with the task force.
It is worth noting that a few days ago, 284 foreigners were
arrested at an illegal call center in Islamabad.
