Islamabad Police Shakeup: Senior Officials Urged to Reassign Office Desk Personnel to Understaffed Field Stations

Islamabad: In spite of crime rates and lack of police officers in Islamabad police facilities, a vital issue has stolen the attention of Islamabad police senior officials. IG (Inspector General) Islamabad, DIG (Deputy Inspector General of Police), and several high-ranking police officials hold ASI (Assistant Sub-Inspector) and sub-inspector posts in their offices.

The core objective is to post these high ranked personnel in Police facilities all around the city rather than confining them to offices to solve local citizens problems. It is not enough to advertise on social media and to make new policies to ensure the political social and economical protection to locals. The real need is to provide sufficient, resilient and efficient officials can lodge FIRs and serve  justice to the complainants on time.

Simultaneously, lower-rank officers are burdenised continuously. The district jurisdiction and Assistant Commissioner (AC) and Deputy commissioner (DC) legal responsibilities are also obligated to  lower rank officers. Concurrently, legal operations against the work of OGDCL , Sui Gas agencies and illegal petrol agencies are also considered the part of the subordinate official's duty.

The Senior Police officers shirt supervise the officials present in the offices and unnecessary posting of officials should be cancelled. Follow the scrutiny of police facilities every institute has to carry it's own responsibility.

Locals require timely lodged FIR, affective investigations and quick police responses rather  than  open courts and administrative tasks. This alone should be the litmus test of Police officials.
