An important meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee was
held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi
- the meeting was attended by provincial ministers, Corps Commander Peshawar,
Chief Secretary and IG Police, as well as senior civil, military, and law
enforcement officials.
At the
beginning of the meeting, Sura Fateha was offered for the civilians, security
forces and other law enforcement officials who were martyred in various
incidents, and tributes were paid to the martyrs.
The meeting generally considered the action plan to
eliminate the increasing incidents of terrorism and the scourge of
Fitna-ul-Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and to establish complete
peace and stability.
The
meeting also decided that joint consultation, mutual cooperation and practical
coordination of all political parties, public representatives, dignitaries and
the federal government are necessary for the success of a comprehensive policy
against terrorism.
In this regard, it was decided in meeting that the
government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province will not hesitate to make any
sacrifice by using all its resources including the army, police, CTD and other
institutions. This long-term strategy will ensure the identification of all the
motivations of terrorism, their elimination and as a result the restoration of
public confidence so that the government and the people can work together to
ensure the security and development of the country.
The agenda of the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is that
only good governance and public interest can unite the nation against
terrorism. In this regard, in the first phase, the areas affected by terrorism
will be converted into model good governance districts. And the deprivations in
the provision of developmental and social services and economic growth will be
addressed by using all government resources.
In
this regard, a special package will be provided for security, communication,
health, education, employment, basic amenities and other services in these
areas under a systematic program.
The
forum decided that the government will ensure complete care, rehabilitation and
provision of basic needs of the affected people from the areas from which
temporary displacement was carried out for sustainable stability, so that this
temporary difficulty can become the basis for peace, development and prosperity
in the future.
