Chief KPK Sohail Afridi chaired the Provincial Apex Committee session, attended by the Corps Commander.


An important meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi - the meeting was attended by provincial ministers, Corps Commander Peshawar, Chief Secretary and IG Police, as well as senior civil, military, and law enforcement officials.

At the beginning of the meeting, Sura Fateha was offered for the civilians, security forces and other law enforcement officials who were martyred in various incidents, and tributes were paid to the martyrs.

The meeting generally considered the action plan to eliminate the increasing incidents of terrorism and the scourge of Fitna-ul-Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and to establish complete peace and stability.

The meeting also decided that joint consultation, mutual cooperation and practical coordination of all political parties, public representatives, dignitaries and the federal government are necessary for the success of a comprehensive policy against terrorism.

In this regard, it was decided in meeting that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province will not hesitate to make any sacrifice by using all its resources including the army, police, CTD and other institutions. This long-term strategy will ensure the identification of all the motivations of terrorism, their elimination and as a result the restoration of public confidence so that the government and the people can work together to ensure the security and development of the country.

The agenda of the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is that only good governance and public interest can unite the nation against terrorism. In this regard, in the first phase, the areas affected by terrorism will be converted into model good governance districts. And the deprivations in the provision of developmental and social services and economic growth will be addressed by using all government resources.

In this regard, a special package will be provided for security, communication, health, education, employment, basic amenities and other services in these areas under a systematic program.

The forum decided that the government will ensure complete care, rehabilitation and provision of basic needs of the affected people from the areas from which temporary displacement was carried out for sustainable stability, so that this temporary difficulty can become the basis for peace, development and prosperity in the future.
