When will the first fast be in Pakistan?

Karachi: The Meteorological Department has issued an important forecast regarding the start of Ramadan 1447 AH.

The first fast across the country is likely to be observed on February 19, 2026, while the Ramadan moon is likely to be sighted on February 18.

According to the Meteorological Department, the Ramadan moon will be born on February 17 at 5:15 pm. By February 18, the moon will be about 26 hours old in Karachi, which will make it suitable for sighting.

The sunset time in the city is 6:25 pm and the moonset time is 7:24 pm, due to which the chances of seeing the moon in Karachi are good.

According to experts, the weather is likely to be partly cloudy in most parts of the country, but for the moon to be visible, its age must be at least 19 hours. However, for more information, the report of the Meteorological Department and the instructions of local scholars will be awaited so that the final announcement of the first fast of Ramadan can be made.
