Islamabad: An important statement has been made by the
Chairman Federal Board of Revenue regarding how many billions the FBR has
recovered in the form of super tax.
According to the details, Chairman FBR Rashid Langrial,
while talking to the media informally, said that the FBR has recovered Rs 70
billion in the form of super tax, and the FBR has set a target of Rs 1028
billion for the current month.
Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Rashid Langrial further
said that the amount of super tax has been collected in the revenue collection
during January.
Rashid Langrial said that the revenue target for the current
month will be achieved, a total of Rs 217 billion will be collected in the form
of super tax.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) recorded a significant
increase of 16 percent on a month-on-month basis in revenue collection during
January 2026, which is higher than the average growth of 10 to 11 percent in
the last six months.
The statement issued by the FBR said that the progress
reflects a clear and encouraging direction for the remaining months of the
fiscal year 2026.
Initially, revenue collection in January 2026 was Rs 1015
billion, while in the same period last year, this collection was Rs 873
billion.
