Mandra: Thoroughbred horses of renowned horse racer Anjum Patwari were poisoned to death

Three valuable horses of renowned horse breeder and socialite Anjum Patwari of Mandra were allegedly poisoned to death by unknown persons. As soon as the news of the incident was received, a wave of intense grief and anger swept the area, while the horse breeder community has termed the incident as brutal and condemnable.

According to sources, the horses that died had outstanding performance in local and regional level horse racing and were known for their speed and breed. It is said that one of the horses was worth about three million rupees, while the other two were also valuable and trained racehorses.

After the incident, important personalities of the area visited the accident site. Former member of the provincial assembly Chaudhry Sajid also reached the affected stables, expressed condolences to Anjum Patwari and expressed deep sorrow and regret over the death of the speechless animals. On this occasion, he said that such incidents are not only morally regrettable but also harm the local sport and economy.

The horse-breeding community and the local people have demanded that the Mandra police conduct a transparent investigation into the incident and arrest the involved elements as soon as possible. There are also reports that the affected owner has filed a complaint against unknown persons, while the police have collected evidence and started investigating from various angles.

The local people claimed that if the accused are not brought to justice, such incidents will be encouraged. The citizens have demanded that the government of the day take effective steps to provide protection to the horse-breeding community so that such unfortunate incidents can be prevented in the future.
