The sewage system of the latest US aircraft carrier arriving for deployment to the Middle East is damaged.

Washington: America's largest and most modern aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, is facing continuous sewage system failures.

According to foreign media, the modern vacuum-based sewage system installed in this aircraft carrier, which was commissioned in 2017 at a cost of $ 13 billion, is repeatedly jamming, affecting its 4,600-member crew.

According to the report, these problems persisted during operations near the coast of Venezuela in 2025 and the series of failures continues in 2026, while external assistance has been requested at least 42 times since 2023.

This situation has recently come to light at a time when the deployment of the ship has been extended due to increasing tension in the Middle East and preparations for possible operations against Iran.

In this regard, US naval officials say that these technical problems have not affected the ship's combat capability and operational readiness is complete.
