Iranian Revolutionary Guards announce closure of Strait of Hormuz due to tension

Tehran: Due to tension, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has closed the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps has stated that no ship is allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz at this time. On the other hand, British media said that about a fifth of the world's crude oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz, which is only 40 kilometers wide.

The news agency's report said that oil from countries like Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Iran is transported to other countries through the Strait of Hormuz.

It should be remembered that Qatar, the world's largest LNG exporter, also relies on this passage for its exports.

According to the news agency, OPEC member countries export most of their crude oil to Asian countries through the Strait of Hormuz.
