Los Angeles: The ongoing “No Kings” protests in the US have
intensified, with thousands of people taking to the streets in the US city of
Los Angeles.
A security alert was issued in the city as tensions
escalated during the protests, with violent clashes reported between protesters
and police in downtown.
According to Los Angeles Police, protesters threw stones,
bottles and cement blocks, and the situation became tense near the Metropolitan
Detention Center.
A heavy police presence was deployed, and 75 people were
arrested after violent clashes.
