SSP Muhammad Sarfaraz virik has been appointed as the new Chief Traffic Officer of Islamabad following formal approval from Inspector General Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. An official notification has been issued in this regard, confirming his appointment to the key position in the capital’s traffic police setup.
In addition to assuming responsibilities as CTO,
Muhammad Sarfaraz Virik has also been given the additional charge of Special
Branch, further expanding his role within Islamabad Police. He is considered an
experienced officer, having previously served as SSP Traffic as well as SP in
the Traffic Police, where he handled important operational and administrative
assignments.
Meanwhile,
former Chief Traffic Officer Captain (R) Hamza Humayun has proceeded on a
mid-career management course, paving the way for the new appointment. Officials
say that the posting of Muhammad Sarfaraz Work is expected to strengthen
traffic management and improve overall policing coordination in the federal
capital.
