Iran responds to Pakistan over US ceasefire proposal

Tehran: Iran responded to Pakistan's US proposal to end the war.

According to Iranian media, Iran's response includes 10 points. Iran's points include ending conflicts in the region, establishing a mechanism for safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, lifting sanctions, and rebuilding the damage caused by the US-Israeli attacks.

According to the international news agency, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai rejected the ceasefire proposal at a press conference and said that no sane person would accept such a situation.

He said that the 15-point US plan is illogical and fictional, that the talk of targeting Iran's energy and industrial infrastructure is a violation of international law, and that countries that help the US will also be guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Esmail Baghai added that based on past experiences, we believe that a ceasefire alone is not enough, but that guarantees should also be provided that war will not happen again in the future, and these guarantees will not be obtained from any international organization, but through force and counterattacks.

He added that a ceasefire is actually just a pause that gives the opposing side a chance to regain strength. Iran’s real demand is a complete end to the war, not a temporary pause.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said that Iran has prepared a comprehensive framework of demands for a ceasefire, which will be presented at the appropriate time.
