Pakistani High Commission showcases Pakistani cuisine in
Canada
Ottawa: The Pakistani High Commission in Canada participated
in the “2026 Embassy Chef Showcase” hosted by the YMCA in Ottawa.
The vibrant and active event brought together talented chefs
from 15 participating diplomatic missions, who presented their respective
national dishes in a spirit of friendly competition.
The High Commission showcased a rich array of traditional
Pakistani dishes, highlighting the country’s diverse culinary heritage, with
participants appreciating the distinctive flavours, aromatic spices and their
cultural authenticity.
This renowned annual Embassy Chef Showcase event provided an
opportunity to promote cultural understanding through food as attendees sampled
a variety of cuisines from around the world.
Speaking on the occasion, High Commissioner Muhammad Saleem
emphasized the effective way to strengthen cultural and people-to-people ties
through food diplomacy, a move that greatly supported the Mission’s ongoing
cultural diplomacy and public outreach efforts.
