New York: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says that we
should be wary of the economic crisis caused by the Iran war.
IMF Chief Kristalina Georgieva said in a statement that
low-income and oil-importing countries are being hit by this crisis, and
countries should be cautious in their fiscal policy. She said that negative
supply shocks will put pressure on the economy, and inflation may increase.
Kristalina Georgieva added that central banks will also have
to monitor the risks of inflation, and governments should use limited resources
wisely to reduce economic pressure.
