Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to introduce a
special motorcycle driving permit for children above 16 years and below 18
years of age.
A special permit will be issued to youth between the ages of
16 and 18 to ride bikes, the Punjab cabinet has approved an amendment to the
law.
The Punjab Home Department had proposed amendments to the
Motor Vehicle Rules 1969 in the light of the Provincial Motor Vehicle
(Amendment) Act 2026 under the amendment to Section 4 of the Provincial Motor
Vehicle Ordinance 1965 regarding juvenile driving permits.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab government, the
cabinet meeting has approved important amendments to the law.
