Karachi:
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has said that there has been an
80 percent reduction in smuggling this year, and the role of the Pakistan Coast
Guard in preventing drug trafficking and illegal transportation through sea
routes is commendable.
Minister
of State Talal Chaudhry attended the passing out parade ceremony of Pakistan
Coast Guard recruits, where DG Pakistan Coast Guards Major General Jawad Riaz
welcomed the chief guest.
On
this occasion, the PCG recruits saluted Minister of State Talal Chaudhry.
Addressing
the ceremony, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry said that 23 Coast
Guard personnel sacrificed their blood to make Pakistan’s coastline peaceful.
Due to the Pakistan Coast Guards, our coastal conditions are much better. The
Pakistan Coast Guard is a high-performance force.
He
said that your role in preventing drugs and combating illegal transportation
through sea routes is always commendable, work is underway on several projects
for the welfare of Pakistan Coast Guards.
Talal
Chaudhry further said that stopping the path of illegal immigrants has been the
hallmark of Pakistan Coast Guards, Pakistan Coast Guards is playing an
important role in protecting marine life.
