World Drone Congress 2026: Pakistan nominated for ‘Country of Honor' Award


Shenzhen: Pakistan was nominated for the “Country of Honor” award at the World Drone Congress 2026 in Shenzhen.

Minister of State and Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority Bilal bin Saqib attended the 10th World Drone Congress. More than 120 countries participated in the World Drone Congress, and Pakistan became the center of attention.

Bilal bin Saqib presented a vision of drones, blockchain and digital assets. Bilal bin Saqib represented Pakistan and delivered a keynote address at the World Drone Congress.

He said that he is grateful to the organizers of the World Drone Congress for nominating Pakistan as the “Country of Honor”. For Pakistan, this honor is a reflection of global trust in the digital and technological sectors and Pakistan’s emerging capabilities.

Bilal bin Saqib said that the combination of drone technology, digitalization, and blockchain is transforming logistics and supply chains. The use of blockchain can make drone operations more secure, transparent, and effective.

The Minister of State said that the combination of drones and blockchain is opening new avenues for smart cities, industrial monitoring, and emergency response. Pakistan is providing institutional support for the promotion of modern technologies.

Bilal bin Saqib said that the World Drone Congress is giving a new dimension to global cooperation in the field of drones and digital assets. Technological innovation, regulatory harmonization, and industrial development are the need of the hour.

He said that Pakistan is making progress in the digital economy and virtual assets regulations. There is a dire need for innovation and global investment in the drone industry. Chairman of Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority Bilal bin Saqib said that the friendship between Pakistan and China is higher than the Himalayas and deeper than the sea.
