Lahore: The National Cybercrime Investigation Agency has
registered a case against Punjab Assembly Member Saqib Chadhar in the case of
harassing actress Momina Iqbal, the court has stopped his arrest.
According to the plaintiff in the case registered under the
PECA Act, Saqib Chadhar, his wife and associates blackmailed and threatened
her.
According to the FIR, the accused threatened that if the
marriage was not consummated, the relevant data would be leaked. Momina Iqbal’s
sister provided the video related to the threats to the National Cybercrime
Investigation Agency.
The FIR states that the video and mobile have been taken
into custody as digital evidence and sent for examination, while threatening
messages have also been sent from Saqib Chadhar’s number. It should be
remembered that actress Momina Iqbal had filed a complaint against MPA Saqib
Chadhar with the National Cybercrime Investigation Agency a few days ago.
Later, the Lahore Sessions Court granted interim bail to
PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar in the case of harassing Momina Iqbal. The court stayed
Saqib Chadhar’s arrest till June 24.
Additional Sessions Judge Irfan Ahmed Sheikh heard the
interim bail, with Advocate Mian Ali Ashfaq appearing on behalf of Saqib
Chadhar.
