Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA)
has revealed that during April-May 2025, access to 202 hostile digital assets
was restricted and banned to protect national digital security.
According to the survey released, an effective 24-hour cyber
surveillance system was kept active during this period, so that potential
threats, misinformation, and online propaganda activities could be addressed promptly.
According to the PTA, Indian-origin content was also removed
from various OTT platforms, while effective measures were taken in
collaboration with relevant institutions against misinformation and misleading
campaigns spread across the border.
The survey stated that through these measures, national digital
security was strengthened and success was achieved in effectively stopping
propaganda campaigns against the country.
