Islamabad: During the hearing of the reference filed against the ICHS administration in the Accountability Court Islamabad, the accused were again presented in the court after the completion of judicial remand by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The case was heard by Accountability Court Judge Rukhshanda
Shaheen. Due to the unavailability of the NAB investigation officer during the
hearing, the progress report could not be submitted to the court. Expressing
anger, the court directed that the investigation officer himself should appear
in the next hearing and inform the court about the progress in the reference
and investigation.
Later, the court adjourned further hearing of the case till
July 22.
According to NAB, the accused are involved in defrauding of
crores of rupees, misappropriating the institution’s funds and not giving
possession of plots to the victims of the residential project. During the
investigation, it was also revealed that fake and duplicate files were sold to
the victims.
According to NAB Islamabad/Rawalpindi, 110 complaints have
been received so far regarding this case, based on which investigations are
underway.
It should be noted that the accused belonging to the ICHS
administration were arrested by NAB on May 6, 2026, against whom investigations
and legal action are underway.
