Islamabad: Robbery of Chinese nationals by posing as FIA officials, involvement of suspended lady constable and her husband revealed
A case of robbery of Chinese nationals by posing as FIA
officials has been registered in the limits of Kohsar police station in Islamabad.
During the initial investigation, it was revealed that a suspended lady
constable and her husband were allegedly involved in the incident.
According to the police, the incident took place in house
number 26, street number 27 of Sector F-6/2, where four armed men, including a
woman, entered the house. One of the accused was wearing an official FIA shirt,
due to which he presented himself as an official of the law enforcement agency.
According to the case, the accused took the Chinese
nationals present in the house hostage and snatched laptops, mobile phones and
a pouch full of gold from them and escaped. A case of the incident has been
registered at Kohsar police station on the complaint of Hazrat Ali, the cook of
the Chinese nationals, while the police are investigating from various angles.
According to sources, based on initial evidence, evidence
has come to light of the alleged involvement of a suspended lady police
constable, identified as "Ali" in the case, and her husband in the
incident. However, the police say that a thorough and impartial investigation
into the matter is underway and further legal action will be taken in the light
of the evidence.
