Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal
Chaudhry visited various polling stations in Mirpur on the occasion of the Azad
Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections, where he reviewed the
electoral process, security arrangements and voting process and received a
briefing from the concerned authorities regarding the arrangements.
The Federal Minister was accompanied by Focal Person Prime
Minister Youth Program and former Deputy Mayor Islamabad Syed Zeeshan Ali
Naqvi, former Deputy Mayor Islamabad Chaudhry Rifat Javed, Raja Mustansir
Mumtaz Chaudhry, Chairman Union Council Phulgran Raja Mohsin and senior league
leader Atiq Ahmed.
Federal Minister Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry met the voters
present at the polling stations and said that free, transparent and peaceful
elections are the guarantee of stability of democracy. He appreciated the
arrangements made by the administration and security agencies and expressed
hope for a smooth completion of the electoral process.
