Karachi Company Police Station Sub-Inspector Accused of Alleged Abuse of Power, Citizen Demands Notice from Higher Authorities

ISLAMABAD: A citizen of Bara Kahu has accused Karachi Company Police Station Sub-Inspector Riaz Noon of alleged abuse of power, harassment and illegal interference in a private transaction and has appealed to the Prime Minister, Field Marshal, Federal Interior Minister and IG Islamabad Police to take immediate notice.

According to the affected citizen Mazhar Iqbal, he has a private transaction dispute with a person named Yousuf, a resident of Bara Kahu. He says that due to Yousuf’s relationship with Karachi Company Police Station Sub-Inspector Riaz Noon, he was allegedly summoned to Karachi Company Police Station, although the matter was related to Bara Kahu limits.

Mazhar Iqbal alleges that Sub-Inspector Riaz Noon pressured him over the phone to come to the police station and threatened him with serious consequences if he did not come. According to him, out of fear and self-respect, he reached the police station, where he was allegedly treated rudely, verbally abused and pressured.

He further alleged that a letter was made to him at the police station regarding the forced transaction, while the police allegedly recorded his testimony on the stamp paper.

Mazhar Iqbal has demanded that the Prime Minister, Field Marshal, Federal Interior Minister and IG Islamabad Police take impartial and high-level notice of the allegations made against Sub-Inspector Riaz Noon, investigate the alleged misuse of powers and provide him justice.
