A resident of Rawalpindi claims that Nasir Butt's nephew,
Hamza Arif Butt, extorted five million rupees from him by tricking him into
getting a Canadian work visa and later embezzled the money by handing him a
fake job letter and did not even issue a visa.
According to the details, Naseeruddin, a resident of Fauji
Colony, alleged that Hamza Arif Butt (who is the nephew of PML-N Senator Nasir
Butt) demanded Rs 8 million from him on the pretext of giving him a three-year
Canadian work permit, whereas we paid him Rs 5 million and it was agreed to pay
the remaining Rs 3 million after reaching Canada.
He said that later, when he did not get a Canadian visa by
the stipulated time, the job letter given by him also turned out to be fake, so
he demanded his money back from Hamza Arif Butt, on which Hamza started acting
rashly and then gave him a bank check of Rs 5 million, which was later
dishonored due to insufficient funds in the account.
Naseeruddin said that he went to witnesses Ansar Wahab and
Gul Naseer several times and begged them to return his money, but they refused.
According to Naseer, these three people do not have licenses
and have defrauded him by posing as fake agents; upon which he went to the
Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against all
of them and filed a complaint, on which a formal inquiry was initiated, and
summons were issued.
Citizen Naseer alleged that since Hamza Arif is the nephew
of PML-N Senator Nasir Butt, Nasir Butt was protecting him from the FIA and
was unable to register a case against him. Citizen Naseeruddin has appealed to
the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Federal Interior Minister and the DG FIA
for justice.
On the other hand, when PML-N Senator Nasir Butt was
contacted to know his opinion in this regard, he rejected Naseeruddin's
allegations and said that I have fifty thousand nephews and I am not
responsible for all of them.
He claimed that a person had come to him, on which he had
asked FIA Director Islamabad Zone Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari to arrest Hamza
and the other two accused, recover the money, and punish them.
Naser Butt said that he is a politician and is used to doing everything on merit.
