PIMS Nursery Fire Tragedy: DNA Testing Ordered as Families Demand Remains of Infants Lost in Blaze 15 Neonates died in a fire incident at PIMS


 Islamabad: Conflagration with Nursery of Pims hospital resulted in death of neonates. The dead babies will be identified through DNA tests. Following the tragic happenstance within Pims hospital has drowned in distressing state.

According to the Statements of local police men, the families of burnt neonates are demanding their retrieval immediately and are not ready to abandon the site of incident. According to the police Gynae Ward instantly caught up fire due to which neonates were burnt drastically.

As per the media reports few incinerated fetal remains  are burnt at such level that they are unable to be recognized. Police states that after DNA tests reports are gathered only than the charred infant remains will be given to the relevant families.

Rescue teams are present in the Gynae Ward located on the third floor to execute relief Operations on the site. According to the recent reports of media at least 14 neonates died in the incident where as in few other reports the number of incinerated infants is 15.

An inquiry committee has been formed regarding this catastrophic event. However, in initial reports the cause behind this tragedy is the failure of Air-conditioning systems and Short circuits are mentioned.
