Islamabad: Senator Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister's
political advisor, reacting to the Supreme Court's decision regarding Imran
Khan, stated that the ruling was independent and based on the merits of the
case. He added that if the PTI had pursued legal channels instead of resorting
to a strategy of encirclement, it would have been resolved sooner.
Sanaullah stated that the PTI has acted correctly for some
time. The PTI filed the lawsuit with the appropriate court, which issued its
decision based on the merits of the case. The PTI commends the court today. The
PTI must respect the courts even when the decision is not in its favor.
Regarding negotiations with the opposition, Sanaullah
indicated that the Prime Minister's offer to negotiate has been on the table
for some time, but the opposition has not responded positively.
