Lahore: Pakistani travel vlogger and mountaineer Asma
Mushtaq died during her adventure on Spantik.
Born on February 7, 1992, Asma Mushtaq was known in the
mountaineering community for her deep love of adventure, mountains, and natural
landscapes. Recently, Asma Mushtaq joined an expedition to climb Spantik Peak,
which stands at 7,027 meters (26,000 feet), in the Karakoram Range of Pakistan.
she reportedly successfully summited Spantik Peak with her guide, Ali Akbar,
and was in good health at the time.
However, during the descent, she apparently suffered from
altitude sickness. Her guide administered first aid, but she did not survive. Karakoram
Calling Tracks is contacting and collaborating with the relevant authorities to
arrange for the repatriation of Asma Mushtaq's body.
After news of her passing broke, social media users
expressed their deep sorrow and condolences to her family. Users also prayed
for her forgiveness and spiritual upliftment, remembering her love for the
mountains, beaches, and natural landscapes.
