Islamabad: The ability of investigating the lodged cases and
FIRs of Islamabad Police was questioned
by the Islamabad High Court IHC on Thursday.
The Justice of IHC khadim Hussain soomro severely
challenged the capability of Islamabad
police and the probing sessions escalated by the Islamabad police particularly
in 4 cases.
The practices which were made to conduct the probing
sessions were gravely disapproved by the justice soomro. The
superintendent of Islamabad police SSP's
presence was required to justify the mentioned issue.
Amid the conversation held with SSP the judge came to the
conclusion that previous four cases
which had been presented in front of the court and the interrogative
sessions in all 4 cases had not been executed lawfully.
Comment was passed by the court that "these are 4 cases and the vestigation
was not done properly in all of them" , further more it was sad that when
a matter is presented in front of the court the fate of it depends on the debriefing sessions and the manner of
investigations done by the police.
Consequently due to the gross negligence it was decided to
bring justice to the decisions made by
the court on the basis of maladministration
because no alternative was left
besides setting the suspect free.
Keeping in view the large volume of salaries of Islamabad police fierce pushback
was ignited regarding the low standards of investigation.
In justifying his action of requiring the SSP to the High
Court the judge stated that "we have not called any senior officer here in
one and a half years, we do not even think it is good that any senior officer
should be called to the court"
although he said the situation had now left no room for leniency and he had to do this.
Judge a priced the SSP that the present scenario has reached
the threshold of acceptability and now strict measures had to be taken to take
the control of the situation. Lawful investigations are required and it should
be the utmost concern of any legal entity or official to do justice in their
query sessions. He further admonished
the SSP that "if the investigation goes badly in future we will
issue and order against the Islamabad police." Court reminded the police
officers that their duties not only
Subsumes the arresting of the accused and the lodging of
cases but also stretching to their true capabilities to gather authentic proof
and to complete the rigorous debriefing sessions before the court.
