Tehran: The Revolutionary Guards have claimed to have shot
down a US F-35 fighter jet.
In a statement, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards said it had
shot down a US aircraft and damaged it.
US Central Command spokesman Captain Tim Hawkins told a
foreign news agency that the aircraft was flying a combat mission over Iran
when it had to make an emergency landing.
Captain Tim Hawkins, a spokesman for the Central Command,
said that the plane landed safely and the pilot is in stable condition.
It should be noted that this is the first time in the world that an F-35 fighter jet has been targeted by a country.
