The US Navy has at least three months of Tomahawk cruise missiles left, while the chances of ending the war in the Middle East are still unpredictable.
Iran's Fars News Agency published a report that, US Navy
budget documents, a Sputnik correspondent analyzed and indicated that the US
has at least three months of Tomahawk cruise missiles left. The Strategic
Inventory target is 3,992 units, which provides a large reserve compared to the
monthly consumption rate of 850 missiles recorded since the beginning of the
war.
Since 2019, the US has maintained its Tomahawk arsenal
through regular recertification and modernization, under which the service life
of about 250 missiles is extended each year, a total of 9,240 missiles have
been acquired since the start of production.
On February 28, 2026, the United States and Israel launched
attacks on various targets in Iran, including Tehran, causing damage and
civilian casualties. Iran responded by targeting U.S. military installations in
the occupied Israeli territories and in the Middle East.
The United States launched Tomahawk missiles from warships
against Iranian armed forces, in addition to drones and HiMars multiple launch
rocket systems. The guided missile destroyers USS Spruance, USS Frank E.
Petersen, and USS Milius participated in this operation, with U.S. ships firing
up to 200 Tomahawk missiles in the first two days of the war.
