DG Immigration and Passport held an important meeting with
the NADRA technical team in which the modernization of the system was
considered.
In the meeting, it was decided to provide the public with
the facility to apply for passports from home. DG Immigration and Passport
directed that the existing policies be aligned with the new digital system. The
participants were given a detailed briefing on the reforms in the existing
passport system, on this occasion, it was suggested to provide easy, fast and
transparent service to the citizens.
It was decided in the meeting that efforts will be made to
make the passport process more effective through digitalization, and facilities
will be increased for overseas and local Pakistanis.
