Islamabad: The Australian High Commission has issued an
official statement on the Haniya Ahmed case.
According to sources, the Australian High Commission said in
its statement that it consoled the family of the Australian citizen who died in
Pakistan. Embassy officials said that Australia has provided consular
assistance to the affected family, while two injured Australian citizens in
Pakistan are also receiving assistance.
The Australian Foreign Department is in contact with the
affected family while expressing deep sorrow and regret over the loss of an
innocent life.
