 Islamabad, 27 July 2026: Secretary Housing and Works, Captain (Retd) Muhammad Mahmood, chaired a high-level review meeting at the Headquarters of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA). The meeting was attended by the Director General FGEHA, Heads of Wings, Project Directors, and other senior officers.

The meeting reviewed the progress of various ongoing development projects, including G-14 Markaz, Sector F-14/F-15, Lifestyle Residency (EHFPRO), Skyline Apartments, and other schemes. The Secretary directed that development work at the Lifestyle Residency Project be commenced at the earliest possible time.

He further instructed that the auction of commercial plots be conducted with complete transparency and in strict accordance with the applicable rules and regulations. He also emphasised the effective utilisation of commercial assets, enhancement of revenue generation, and the phased digitalisation of all services of the Authority.

Following the meeting, the Secretary Housing & Works undertook a detailed visit to Sector F-14/F-15 and G-14 Markaz. On the occasion, he announced that possession of plots in the cleared areas of Sector F-14/F-15 would commence in a phased manner at six-month intervals, beginning from the end of the current year. He further stated that all allottees of the project would be provided possession within the next three years.

The Secretary directed that dedicated modern cycle tracks, high-quality infrastructure, green belts, landscaping, and superior development standards be ensured in Sector F-14/F-15. He categorically stated that no compromise would be made on construction quality and announced that the project would be inspected again in the near future.

During his visit to G-14 Markaz, the Secretary reviewed the proposed commercial plots, cleanliness, parking arrangements, infrastructure, and civic amenities. He directed the concerned authorities to undertake immediate improvements and stressed the need to remove encroachments, protect government land, ensure effective land management, and expedite the implementation of development activities.

He reiterated that the timely and quality completion of all projects remains the Government's foremost priority. Negligence or unnecessary delays will not be tolerated, while officers demonstrating outstanding performance will be duly recognised and encouraged.

On this occasion, the Secretary Housing and Works appreciated the performance of Director General FGEHA, Captain (Retd.) Zafar Iqbal, along with the concerned officers, engineers, and staff, commending their dedication and professional commitment. The Director General also directed the relevant officers to expedite all work relating to plot possession, accelerate progress on matters concerning unacquired land, and ensure the timely completion of all projects.

 Director General FGEHA, Captain (Retd.) Zafar Iqbal, further instructed the concerned officers to accelerate all administrative and technical processes related to the provision of plot possession. He directed that all pending work be completed within the stipulated timelines, with particular focus on issues relating to unacquired land, so that the phased handing over of possession to allottees could proceed without delay.

He emphasized that all concerned departments must maintain close coordination and effective collaboration to achieve the Authority's development objectives and ensure the successful and timely completion of the project.
