Pakistan's team has won its first match in the Hockey World
Cup after 16 years. Earlier, the Pakistan hockey team defeated Spain by two
goals to one in the 2010 Hockey World Cup.
Pakistan could not qualify for the 2014 World Cup, while the
Pakistan team could not win a single match in the 2018 Hockey World Cup.
In the match against Japan, Rana Waheed scored two goals,
Hanan Shahid and Hammad scored one goal each, giving Pakistan a 3-4 goal lead
over Japan.
