Two men accused of a 220 million rupee robbery in Karachi were arrested in Lahore.
The spokesperson for the Directorate of Operations (DIG)
reported that the accused, Mehtab, and his relative, Abdul Rehman, were
arrested in Jhang. Eighteen cases of robbery and burglary have been registered
against them.
According to the details, the accused participated in a 220
million rupee robbery in the Sadar area of Karachi in April. He was also
involved in robberies in Jhang, Faisalabad, and Rahim Yar Khan as well.
The DIG spokesperson added that a 9mm pistol and ammunition
were seized from Abdul Rehman. Stolen goods were also recovered in connection
with a robbery case at the Ramna police station in Islamabad.
